Simulate your AGV fleet before you build it.
Draw the AGV network over your floor plan, describe how material moves and run hours of operation at hundreds of times real speed. Read throughput, bottlenecks and the fleet size you actually need.

01How it works
From floor plan to results in three steps
Model the plant the way you would sketch it, then let the simulation do the arithmetic a spreadsheet cannot.
-
Draw the network
Import your DWG or DXF floor plan, then draw paths, curves and stations in millimetres. Add one-way lanes, links and traffic zones where aisles get narrow.
-
Describe the flow
Generate orders at a fixed rhythm, or connect no-code blocks: timers, production waits, conditions, counters and missions triggered by deliveries.
-
Simulate and compare
Run 1 to 24 simulated hours in one click. Read KPIs and heatmaps, compare runs side by side and share a PDF report.
02Use cases
Questions every AGV project has to answer
Test the alternatives in minutes instead of discovering them on the shop floor.
How many AGVs do we need?
Run the same demand with one, two, three or four vehicles. The comparison shows where throughput stops growing and the queue stays under control.
Where does traffic get stuck?
Heatmaps of occupancy, entry waits and waiting hotspots, a ranking of the worst paths and stations, and an alert when vehicles block each other.
Which dispatch rule works best?
Oldest order first or nearest pickup; nearest vehicle, fastest delivery or balanced workload. Change one rule, run again, compare lead times.
Lead-acid or lithium?
Simulate charge thresholds, autonomy and charging time, and see how much capacity charging takes away and how many chargers you need.
03Specifications
What the simulator models
| Network | Paths and curves in millimetres, stations, links, one-way and two-way lanes, speed limits per path. |
|---|---|
| Motion | Acceleration, braking and curve speeds, with a full stop before every reversal. |
| Traffic | Local collision avoidance and exclusive zones that let one vehicle at a time through a bottleneck. |
| Floor plans | DWG and DXF import with units, scale and layers, and fast rendering of large drawings, processed without external services. |
| Plant logic | Timers, production waits, conditions, counters and chained missions, connected as blocks instead of code. |
| Batteries | Lead-acid or lithium profiles, charge and resume thresholds; vehicles finish their transport before charging. |
| Results | Throughput, fleet utilisation, lead times, queues, bottleneck ranking, per-vehicle time breakdown and heatmaps. |
| Runs | Every run is archived. Compare runs side by side and export CSV tables, full JSON or a formatted PDF report. |
| Data | Projects and runs are stored in your account, encrypted on the server. Export a portable .sim file any time. |
A planning tool, not a vehicle controller. It never sends files or commands to real AGVs, and its results do not certify safety or promise deadlock-free traffic.
04FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is an AGV simulator?
An AGV simulator reproduces how a fleet of automated guided vehicles moves through a plant: routes, traffic, loading, charging and waiting. It lets you test layouts, fleet sizes and dispatch rules before buying vehicles or changing the floor.
Do I need to install anything?
No. AGV Simulation Studio runs in a modern desktop browser. Sign in, draw or import your layout and start simulating.
Can I use my plant floor plan?
Yes. Import a DWG or ASCII DXF drawing as a background, set its units and scale, and draw the AGV network on top of it.
Does it control real AGVs?
No. It is a planning and analysis tool: it never sends files or commands to vehicles, and its results do not certify safety.
Which results do I get?
Completed missions, throughput, fleet utilisation, lead times, queues, bottlenecks, per-vehicle time breakdowns and heatmaps, exportable as CSV, JSON or a PDF report.
Which languages are available?
The interface and the user guide are available in English and Italian.
See your AGV fleet at work before the first vehicle arrives.
Open the studio, draw a loop and run your first eight hours in a few minutes.
